Sophie Braun

Junior consultant - Dusseldorf

Communications, politics, digital, NGOs

Sophie is our newest talent addition in Dusseldorf, a young specialist in political and digital communication with extensive international experience.

Before joining BOLDT, she worked as a junior professional for the federal German development cooperation agency (GIZ), strategically advising the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on policy formulation and crisis communication. For example, she assisted in several high profile events during the German G20 presidency and enabled north-south knowledge exchange on innovative information and communication technologies. Working in an intercultural context has provided her with a holistic point of view and an ability for creative problem solving.

Sophie holds a master’s degree in Media and Communication Studies from the University of Leipzig, where she focused on political participation processes, e.g. the role of fake news in electoral campaigns. Besides, she studied International Relations at Sciences Po Bordeaux University (France). Beyond her native German, Sophie is fluent in English and French.
