Michael leads BOLDT’s German offices serving clients across the country as well as supporting German companies with their communications needs around the world.

He has extensive international integrated communication experience. He began his career working in the Spokespersons’ Service of the European Commission before becoming an online journalist and then Chief of Cabinet for the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman. He subsequently joined Burson-Marsteller in Brussels as Director of Government Relations, focusing on public affairs and crisis communication for senior government clients and international corporations in the chemical and tech sector. After this, he founded European Friends of Armenia in Brussels and Yerevan and acted as its Secretary General for five years. Before establishing BOLDT in Germany, he worked for Ogilvy PR in Düsseldorf as Director for Corporate Communications, providing C-level advisory for B2B clients in the tech sector and crisis PR in various sectors.

He holds a PhD in Political Science and an MA in European Studies.
